ROCK: NO PRESSURE ON REIGNING CHAMPS NORTHERN IRELAND AT WORLD CUP OF DARTS

Northern Ireland's Josh Rock insists there is no pressure on him and Daryl Gurney as they head into the World Cup of Darts as reigning champions. The pair will defend their title in Frankfurt from June 11-14, with the tournament broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Despite their status as defending champions, Rock and Gurney are not considered the favourites. That tag belongs to England's Luke Littler and Luke Humphries, who are expected to be the team to beat at the event.

Speaking ahead of the competition, Rock played down expectations on the Northern Irish duo. "There's no pressure on us," he said. "We're the reigning champs, but we know what we can do. We'll just go out there and enjoy it."

The World Cup of Darts will see teams from across the globe compete in Frankfurt, with Northern Ireland looking to retain the title they won last year. The action gets underway on June 11, exclusively live on Sky Sports.
