The European Tour makes a historic stop in Slovakia this June, with the inaugural Slovak Darts Open taking place from Friday June 19 to Sunday June 21 in the capital city of Bratislava. The ninth edition of this year's Euro Tour features 48 players competing for a total prize fund of £230,000, with £35,000 reserved for the winner.
While Luke Littler and Luke Humphries are absent due to the US Darts Masters, a strong field remains. Gian van Veen is the number one seed, followed closely by Michael van Gerwen. Other top names include Jonny Clayton, James Wade, Gerwyn Price, Stephen Bunting, and Gary Anderson, who rarely plays the European Tour but sees an opportunity to become the first champion in Slovakia. Nathan Aspinall, Ross Smith, and Wessel Nijman—all winners on the 2026 European Tour—are also in the draw, while Chris Dobey, Ryan Searle, Jermaine Wattimena, and Kevin Doets seek their first title. Luke Woodhouse, fresh off his Baltic Sea Darts Open victory, targets back-to-back triumphs.
Prize money is distributed down to the first round: Winner £35,000, Runner-up £15,000, Semi-finals £10,000, Quarter-finals £8,000, Third round £5,000, Second round £3,500, and First round £2,000. A key detail: seeded players (the top 16) who lose their opening match do not have that prize money added to their rankings. However, qualifiers who become seeded due to withdrawals will see their earnings count toward rankings. The prize money counts toward the PDC Order of Merit, Pro Tour Order of Merit, and the European Tour Order of Merit, which determines qualification for Dortmund later in the season.
