GREAVES TARGETS PDC TOP 64 AFTER DOMINANT WOMEN'S SERIES TITLES

Beau Greaves, ranked first in the PDC Women's Series rankings, stormed to back-to-back titles on Saturday with two high-scoring victories at the Robin Park Leisure Centre in Wigan. The dominant display saw her win Women's Series Event 13 with a 5-0 whitewash of Swedish opponent Vicky Pruim, averaging 88.41. She had earlier defeated fellow English players Jade Gofford 5-3 in the quarter-finals and Fallon Sherrock 5-2 in the semi-finals.

Greaves then followed up by beating Polish star Karolina Ratajska 5-1 in the final of Women's Series Event 14, securing her 57th PDC Women's Series title with an average of 82.05. In the semi-final of that event, she averaged a huge 100.20 against Dutch opponent Aileen de Graaf after a 5-3 win over Aoife McCormack in the previous round.

Reflecting on her wins, Greaves said: 'I know we [Ratajska] had a tough game but I'm really happy to win that there.' She added: 'I simply get more enjoyment out of the ladies' game. Obviously I know I win a lot, that's not the point. To see some of the girls and stuff is nice but I'm playing a lot and really enjoying it. Some of the girls have said to me: "Are you not tired?" No, I'm fresh, and sometimes I've had some poor games but I've done enough to win and that's the main thing.'

When asked about the prospect of breaking into the top 64 on the PDC Order of Merit — which would mean she could no longer compete in the Women's Series — Greaves said: 'That's what I'm aiming for, that spot, and they all support me and all want me to do well, but I think they want me to leave this and do that! But that's what I want, I want to be a professional darts player, plough on and play well. That's the main goal, just enjoy my darts and end up in that top 64.'
