The European Tour heads to the Slovakian capital city of Bratislava for the inaugural Slovak Darts Open, running from Friday, June 19, to Sunday, June 21. The ninth edition of this year's Euro Tour features 48 players competing for a total prize fund of £230,000, with £35,000 awarded to the winner. Notable absentees include Luke Littler and Luke Humphries, who are focusing on the US Darts Masters, but a strong field is still set to compete.
Gian van Veen enters as the number one seed, followed closely by Michael van Gerwen. Other top names making the trip include Jonny Clayton, James Wade, Gerwyn Price, Stephen Bunting, and Gary Anderson, who rarely plays on the European Tour but sees an opportunity to become the first ever champion in Slovakia. Winners on the 2026 European Tour such as Nathan Aspinall, Ross Smith, and Wessel Nijman are also in the draw, while Chris Dobey, Ryan Searle, Jermaine Wattimena, and Kevin Doets are all seeking their first title. Luke Woodhouse, fresh off his victory at the Baltic Sea Darts Open, aims for back-to-back triumphs.
The prize money distribution is as follows: winner £35,000, runner-up £15,000, semi-finalists £10,000, quarter-finalists £8,000, third round £5,000, second round £3,500, and first round £2,000. An important detail: for seeded players (the top 16), if they lose their opening match, the associated prize money does not count towards their rankings. However, for qualifiers who become seeded due to withdrawals, their earned prize money does count towards the rankings.
The prize money in Bratislava counts towards the PDC Order of Merit, the Pro Tour Order of Merit, and specifically the European Tour Order of Merit, which determines qualification for later events in Dortmund.
