The PDC Pro Tour rolls on this week as Players Championship 27 and 28 take place in Leicester on August 25-26, with Luke Littler among the stars expected to feature. The 2026 Players Championship series comprises 34 events in total, with these two tournaments marking the latest chapter in the floor circuit's busy calendar.
This season, the Players Championship events are being held across multiple venues: Halle 39 in Hildesheim, Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan, Leicester Arena, Arena MK in Milton Keynes, and a first-ever visit to Den Bosch's Maaspoort. That Dutch stop marks a long-awaited return of ProTour darts to Holland, though Leicester hosts the majority of the tournaments this year.
While the entry list is always subject to change, particularly with Premier League players picking and choosing their events, fans can expect to see Luke Littler, Luke Humphries, Gian van Veen, Michael van Gerwen, and Gerwyn Price at various points throughout the year. Littler and Humphries have indicated they may skip some events or only play in Wigan, while other top names have previously avoided the travel to Germany.
The ultimate prize is qualification for the Players Championship Finals in Minehead, which take place later in 2026 before the PDC World Darts Championship. Littler and co. had issues qualifying last year, adding extra drama to the race to the finish.
All matches on the four main boards will be streamed live via PDCTV, the PDC's official channel. Fans can choose from a monthly pass (£9.99), an annual subscription (£59.99), or a flexible multi-day short-use pass. Broadcast times for Players Championship 27 on Tuesday August 25 are 13:00-19:00, with Players Championship 28 following on Wednesday August 26 at the same times. The schedule continues with events in Den Bosch in September and October, and back to Leicester in November.
