Beau Greaves delivered a stunning double triumph at the PDC Women's Series in Leicester, claiming both Event 19 and Event 20 titles on Sunday 23 August at the Mattioli Arena. After missing Saturday's tournaments, Greaves returned with a vengeance, securing her 12th Women's Series title of the season in the afternoon before dominating Event 20 in the evening.
In Event 19, Greaves opened with consecutive 4-0 victories over Jane Hawtin and Sue Lowther, then edged past Vicky Pruim 4-3. She faced stiff competition from Gemma Hayter, but prevailed 4-3 before defeating Aileen de Graaf 5-1 and Kirsty Hutchinson 5-2 to reach the final. There, she beat Lisa Ashton 5-3 to claim the £2,500 winner's prize.
Event 20 saw Greaves in imperious form, dropping just three legs across seven matches. She swept aside Leanne Halls and Felicia Blay 4-0, then beat Louise Pearson 4-1 and Rhian O'Sullivan 4-1. In the quarter-finals, she whitewashed Angela Kirkwood 5-0, defeated Karolina Ratajska 5-1 in the semis, and capped it off with a 5-0 whitewash of Aileen de Graaf in the final.
The weekend was pivotal for World Championship hopes, with three PDC World Darts Championship spots available through the Women's Series Order of Merit, and the overall winner securing a Grand Slam of Darts place. Fallon Sherrock, Lisa Ashton, Deta Hedman, and Gemma Hayter were among the contenders, with Sherrock starting against Tracey Reeve and Ashton facing Lindsey Ashton in a notable opening match.
