The Czech Darts Open is set to take place from 4-6 September 2026, serving as the twelfth of fifteen PDC European Tour events. The tournament features a field of 48 players competing for £230,000 in prize money, with £35,000 reserved for the winner.
The field is headlined by Luke Littler, who finally makes his European Tour return after many months away. He is joined by the 'king of Prague', Luke Humphries, who has won three of the last four editions and is seeking a third consecutive title. Humphries has dominated the Czech city in recent years, but Littler will be looking to thwart his rival's reign.
A stacked field has also assembled, including Gian van Veen, Michael van Gerwen, Jonny Clayton, Gerwyn Price, Gary Anderson (who plays after enjoying his return in Budapest), and Budapest winner Ross Smith. Beau Greaves also features for the second week running, having been halted by Rob Cross in her European Tour debut despite averaging 104 in defeat. She returns to the big stage as a name no one will want to draw.
The seeded players are led by Littler and Humphries, with van Veen, van Gerwen, Clayton, James Wade, Price, Josh Rock, Stephen Bunting, Danny Noppert, Ryan Searle, Anderson, Chris Dobey, Wessel Nijman, Smith, and Nathan Aspinall completing the top 16. ProTour qualifiers include Luke Woodhouse, Jermaine Wattimena, Kevin Doets, Andrew Gilding, Rob Cross, Krzysztof Ratajski, Niko Springer, William O'Connor, Niels Zonneveld, Martin Schindler, Dirk van Duijvenbode, Ryan Joyce, Damon Heta, Joe Cullen, Daryl Gurney, and Cameron Menzies. Tour Card qualifiers feature Rob Owen, Connor Scutt, Cristo Reyes, Greaves, Jeffrey de Graaf, Stephen Burton, Kim Huybrechts, Callan Rydz, Keane Barry, and Mario Vandenbogaerde. Johan Engström (Nordic & Baltic) and Martin Homola (East European) are also in, with a host nation qualifier still to be confirmed.
The draw is expected to be confirmed on the Thursday before the event starts, around 12 BST/1 CET, though it was different for the Hungarian Darts Trophy. The schedule follows the usual European Tour format: ProTour players face qualifiers on Friday, the top 16 join on Saturday, and from the quarter-finals onward the bracket determines matchups. All rounds up to the quarter-finals are best of 11 legs (first to 6), the semi-finals are best of 13 (first to 7), and the final is best of 15 (first to 8).
In the tournament's history, Humphries won in 2025 (8-5 vs Josh Rock), 2024 (8-1 vs Kim Huybrechts), and 2022 (8-5 vs Rob Cross). Peter Wright took the title in 2023 (8-6 vs Dave Chisnall), and Jamie Hughes won the inaugural 2019 edition (8-3 vs Stephen Bunting).
