Luke Littler marked his return to the European Tour in spectacular fashion, defeating Luke Humphries 8-6 in the final of the 2026 Czech Darts Open. The victory denied Humphries another title in Prague and secured Littler's 30th PDC title of his career, in the first European Tour final ever contested between the two rivals.
Littler started strongly, moving 2-0 ahead before Humphries fought back to lead 4-3. Four consecutive legs put Littler 7-4 up, but the defending champion refused to surrender, winning two legs on the spin and breaking throw to make it 7-6. However, missed chances at double 16 proved costly for Humphries, and Littler returned to double 10 to seal the win with a 95.25 average, edging Humphries' 94.81.
The title came on Littler's first European Tour appearance for six months, ending Humphries' reign in Prague after the former world champion had been chasing a third successive Czech Darts Open crown. Humphries had battled through the earlier rounds, beating William O'Connor 6-3 in a scrappy quarter-final before overcoming Gerwyn Price 7-4 in the semi-final, with back-to-back ton-plus finishes of 105 and 104 and a 119 checkout proving crucial.
Littler's path was far more emphatic. He whitewashed Danny Noppert 6-0 in the quarter-finals with a 102.48 average, then carried that momentum into his semi-final against Michael van Gerwen. An opening 11-darter, a 167 checkout on the bull, and a 76 finish sent Littler 3-0 clear, and he eventually sealed a 7-3 victory with a 106.64 average.
In the final, Littler opened with a 180 and broke for 2-0 after Humphries missed six doubles. Humphries responded with a 110 checkout and finishes of 88 and 92 to lead 3-2, but Littler levelled and then produced a stunning 130 checkout on the bull after Humphries had fired in a 180. Littler extended his lead to 6-4 and then 7-4, but Humphries fought back to 7-6. After Littler missed a match dart during a 164 attempt, Humphries had two darts at double 16 to level, but both missed, and Littler returned to double 10 to complete the victory and claim his second European Tour title of the year.
