The Swiss Darts Trophy is the next tournament on the calendar, taking place between Friday October 9 and Sunday October 11 in Basel. It is the 14th tournament on this year's European Tour and the penultimate event before the Dutch Darts Trophy which curtails the season in Maastricht.
The matches can be followed live on PDC TV. As usual at European Tour events, the tournament is spread over three days, with an afternoon and evening session each day. The afternoon sessions start daily at 12:00 PM BST, while in the evening the first darts are thrown at 6:00 PM BST.
Luke Humphries will be involved as the top seed. He leads the way alongside Gian van Veen, Jonny Clayton, James Wade, Michael van Gerwen, Josh Rock and Gerwyn Price. Luke Woodhouse leads the ProTour Order of Merit qualifiers alongside Kevin Doets, Andrew Gilding, Rob Cross, Niko Springer, Joe Cullen, Cameron Menzies, Damon Heta among others. Tour Card Holder Qualifier wise, it includes Mensur Suljovic, Michael Smith, Raymond van Barneveld and Cristo Reyes. Stephen Bunting is defending champion after defeating Luke Woodhouse 8-3 in the 2025 final.
The big names come into the tournament on Saturday and will face a ProTour player or qualifier who will face off on the Friday. So in theory the first time to catch most of the big names is Saturday night due to how it is scheduled. From the latter stages, this goes into bracket order so the winner of each game faces the next in the Quarter-Finals for instance. This makes it even easier to follow and creates further narrative.
