The 2026 Swiss Darts Trophy has reached its final day in Basel, with Gian van Veen eliminating Thomas Bissell in a 10-leg contest. The Dutchman's victory came as the tournament continued following a Saturday that proved destructive for the seeded players.

Only six of the 16 seeds managed to prevail in second-round action, though that surviving group includes several of the pre-tournament title favourites. World Grand Prix champion Luke Humphries remains in contention, targeting a second European Tour title of 2026, while Jonny Clayton is in a desperate race for Grand Slam of Darts qualification. Gian van Veen, Josh Rock, Ross Smith and Krzysztof Ratajski are the other seeds still featuring, with former world champions Rob Cross and Michael Smith also back in action on Sunday.

The final day's schedule sees the remaining contenders battling for the title in Basel, with the prize money on offer for the winner a key subplot. Humphries, Michael Smith and other big names are all chasing the champion's cheque as the European Tour event reaches its climax.
