Danny Noppert will contest the final of the Dutch Darts Championship on home soil in Maastricht after winning an all-Dutch battle with Gian van Veen in the semi-finals on Sunday evening.
The final European Tour title of 2026 is up for grabs on Sunday evening as the Dutch Darts Championship reaches its conclusion in Maastricht. Van Veen had led the home challenge fresh from his historic 120.24 average on Saturday night, but it was Noppert who advanced to the final.
Stephen Bunting, Damon Heta, Ryan Searle and four other contenders were also battling for the trophy as the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final decided the last European Tour champion of the season.
The action in Maastricht saw a dramatic Sunday afternoon session, with Gian van Veen leading the title charge as Gerwyn Price and Nathan Aspinall crashed out. Van Veen had earlier made headlines by hitting the first-ever 120+ average on the European Tour, a stunning 120.24, on a night that also saw Michael van Gerwen crash out on home soil in what was described as one of the greatest ever nights of European Tour action.
