Luke Littler and Nathan Aspinall will collide in the second round of the 2026 European Championship on Saturday evening, with their match scheduled as part of a session that gets underway at 18:00 UK time. The tournament, which runs from 22 to 25 October 2026, sees Gian van Veen return as defending champion and acts as the closer to the current season on the European Tour.
The evening session on Saturday 24 October is stacked with second-round action. Krzysztof Ratajski takes on Kevin Doets, Martin Schindler faces Jermaine Wattimena, and Jonny Clayton meets Josh Rock, with the Aspinall-Littler clash the headline act of the night. The field is based on the top 32 in the Order of Merit, with Ross Smith set to be top seed over Luke Littler, who will be seventh seed currently. Luke Humphries is currently eighth, while Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price and James Wade, among others, also headline the field. The Dutch Darts Championship in Maastricht completes the season and will form the field, which will be headlined by former champion Ross Smith as well as Wessel Nijman. Ranking money earned in the 15 European Tour events held as part of the PDC Pro Tour holds the key to getting into this tournament.
UK viewers can watch the entire event on ITV4 and ITVX, with every night starting at 6pm UK time — 7pm local time in Germany, the Netherlands and other parts of Europe. Sessions last around four hours, from 6pm to 10pm in the UK, and there is also an afternoon session on Saturday from 12pm, plus an afternoon session on Sunday before the final takes place on Sunday night. The full TV schedule runs: Thursday 22 October first round at 18:00, Friday 23 October second round at 18:00, Saturday 24 October third round at 12:00 and quarter-finals at 18:00, and Sunday 25 October semi-finals at 12:00 and the final at 18:00 — all on ITV4 and ITVX.
Further afield, the event will be shown on Viaplay in the Netherlands and DAZN in Germany, and for anyone who cannot access coverage in their territory, it will also be shown on PDCTV for the price of their annual subscription at no extra cost. This is location dependent, so viewers will need to check locally to see if it is different elsewhere. In the UK, though, it is on free-to-air all weekend, likely with the usual pundits and commentators, including Wayne Mardle and Chris Mason, among others.
