Spanish darts player Cristo Reyes has paid tribute on social media to Jesús de Miguel, the CD Tenerife footballer who died tragically at the age of 30. De Miguel passed away on Tuesday after suffering a serious collision during a league match against FC Andorra, and the news reached the darts world, where Tenerife native Reyes expressed his condolences.
De Miguel collided with Andorra goalkeeper Jesús Owono during Monday's match. The striker then suffered cardiac arrest and was rushed to hospital. A day later, CD Tenerife announced that the footballer had died.
Reyes responded to the sad news on Facebook, sharing a black-and-white photo of De Miguel. "Sad news for the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, for football, and for the family of Jesús de Miguel. He has died following a collision with the Andorra goalkeeper," Reyes wrote.
The Spanish darts player ended his post with a message of support: "My deepest condolences to his family, friends and supporters of Club Deportivo Tenerife."
