Ross Smith produced a commanding performance in the Hungarian Darts Trophy semi-final on Sunday evening, easing past Danny Noppert to book his place in the final. The Englishman was in ruthless form as he swept aside the Dutchman, setting up a title showdown in Budapest.

The evening session at the Hungarian Darts Trophy saw the tournament reach its climax, with a champion set to be crowned tonight. Smith's victory was the standout result of the session, as he continued his impressive run through the event. Noppert, who had fought hard to reach the last four, had no answer to Smith's relentless scoring and finishing.

Elsewhere in the evening's action, Gary Anderson remained in the reckoning, facing Gian van Veen in a highly anticipated clash. Nathan Aspinall took on Chris Dobey in the other semi-final, with both matches promising plenty of drama as the tournament reached its business end.

Smith's win ensures he will be the first finalist, with the winner of the Anderson-van Veen and Aspinall-Dobey ties joining him in the showpiece. The Hungarian Darts Trophy has delivered a week of thrilling darts, and the final is set to be a fitting conclusion to the event.
